i don’t think girl light would go in for this. she would like to be assertive, and she is more assertive than she would have been a generation ago, but she doesn’t feel like it’s appropriate to be so assertive that men are too intimidated to want a relationship (or more specifically sex orz) with her..... even though she doesn’t.. want a relationship or sex.................

actually i’m not sure she plans to get married at all. OU light is grimly resigned to it but he won’t have to give up his career, which he clearly thinks is more important. and his career plan is based in his ideals. so girl light’s would be as well, and girl light would never want to stop helping the world just to have babbies for some asshole (and if she got married she would of course quit her career because that’s what is Done and Expected and Socially Acceptable and that's just how humans are, ryuuk).... but she probably plans to pretend differently, as though she intends to marry someday but then it just never happens

when she was like “i want to be in the NPA like daddy :D” when she was little, she was gently laughed at instead of praised >_> and if she tried to help on one of her dad’s cases, it would be harder to get him to take her seriously. so she chose some other world-improving career

so she also disillusioned about her father...... she still admires his work but she resents his sexism

sachiko treats her differently as well.... probably stricter. girl light could never be like “yeah i was out with my boyfriend sorry..... at a hotel yep” and sachiko’s priorities are different. less “my son is so smrt i’m so proud :D” and more “my daughter is so pretty and charming and smrt i’m so proud :D” i.e. academic performance is still important but it’s the least important of the important things. she also is not as coddled.... she's expected to help with chores!!! like cooking?? SHE WILL BE A PERFECT HOUSEWAIFU says sachiko, a little bit dubiously

on the other hand no one throws chalk at her head either

sayu treats her about the same though <3 with maybe more emphasis on “why don’t you want to do fun things with me D<”

she is basically a lot like takada but (outwardly) not as self-important. if she was like “oh please don’t call me miss to-oh i hate that” everyone would believe her, not just her admirers >> she’s a little less ~refined~ in favor of a bit of levity (takada probably is still considered miss to-oh instead of light for this reason), but she's still less outgoing than OU light

since she is so much more controlled and repressed, being kira is more of an outlet and a relief for her (also making it easier to insult her pride as kira.... thus, lind l tailor sigh). she focuses on the same people, by and large, but is maybe less forgiving where canon light would waver and then decide to be nice, both because that allows her to get away with being harsh re crimes against women and because she is naturally inclined in that direction after being frustrated forever

people make less of a big deal out of her amazing test scores which she doesn’t resent because she has no basis for comparison unless she sees a dude with lower scores get admiiired..... and she certainly wouldn’t jokingly say “oh well i scored first in the nation you know i have time for a date here and there”

clumsy_optimist: a girl would have more to compensate for so girl!light's parents may even encourage the tennis

clumsy_optimist: and I think she'd be bitter that she had to do something unnecessary to look impressive and be noticed for her "real" credentials

night_goddess: and thinks music is either maudlin or dull
night_goddess: or both!

clumsy_optimist: I think girl!light would be less bored, and more frustrated
clumsy_optimist: because instead of not having anything to do, she is not doing what she wants because she can't
clumsy_optimist: she'd lose more sleep during that first week
clumsy_optimist: because she'd have even less time than OU light would to kill all those criminals
clumsy_optimist: and she'd probably continue to lose sleep even if she's set up the thing where deaths are in the queue
